About the Owner

Bob Duncan

I rescued my first dog, a standard dachshund named Iggy, in May 2000. In 2002, I enrolled Iggy in a “playgroup” with a new company called Dog Days of West Hartford. In 2004, the company I worked for was bought out, and the Connecticut offices were shut down. On the same day, the owner of Dog Days informed me that he was also going out of business. I reached out to him and inquired if he was interested in selling the business.

Over the years, I’ve learned a great deal about dogs, their behaviors, and their needs. I’ve collaborated with several trainers and have been a member of both Pet Sitters’ International and the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP), where I gained valuable insights into running a pet business and addressing the various challenges of pet care.

Since its inception, Dog Days has been committed to providing pets with the best care possible and offering owners exceptional service. Having been a customer myself, I understand the trust required to allow someone into your home to care for your pets. I bring that understanding into the business, ensuring your property and pets are treated with the utmost care.

I live in West Hartford with my partner and our two dogs, Harry and Milo.
